Belle Plagne ski school is also a HANDI SKI school.
In 1983, we formed a special section and bought the necessary equipment. You can learn to ski in a chair using a teaching method that is adapted to your needs!
You are physically disabled: tetraplegic, paraplegic, leg amputee, polio or other illness, cerebral palsy, etc, but you still have some strength in your arms. Whether you are a child, a teenager, an adult, a beginner or an expert, treat yourself to the pleasure of skiing!
A team of instructors who are specialised in teaching this technique with just one aim: to get you skiing independently.
Thanks to the Société d’Aménagement de la Plagne (ski lift company), the lifts are adapted to handiski standards and the personnel is trained to help you use them.
A reduction of 50 % on the public price of a ski pass is offered on presentation of your disability card.
Skiing in a chair requires equipment that is adapted to your handicap and to your progress. The ski school has10 adult and child chairs.

It looks and is used like a uniski but the dualski is a new concept that has 2 skis on the articulated frame. It will give similar sensations to those of a non-disabled skier. |

This chair, made up of a shell, frame and suspension system on a single ski used with a pair of stabilisers, is used mainly for those who have a lower limb disability (e.g. paraplegic, leg amputation). This machine offers a wide range of possibilities on the slopes. |
The lessons are personalised. The price includes the chair equipment. Lessons should definitely be booked in advance.
Disabled skiers are practising an outdoor sport alongside non-disabled people, using the same ski lifts and with the same potential for progress.
To progress safely, seated skiers must respect the rules with regard to the resort staff, the ski lifts and other users!
In order to organise the equipment and the schedules of our disabled instructors, please contact us in advance by email or telephone.
