Key questionsand answers

I’ve never skied off-piste before—can I still take this course?
Yes, you can join the course as long as you have a Class 4 ski level to keep up with the group.
Do I need safety equipment to participate in expert off-piste skiing lessons?
If you have your own equipment, you’re welcome to bring it. If not, ESF will provide a bag with a shovel, probe, and avalanche beacon.
What equipment do I need for the ski course?
You’ll need skis suited for off-piste skiing. 
While wearing a helmet isn’t mandatory, it is strongly recommended.
